From 2004-2012, I worked as the Senior Advisor, Field Director, and Photographer to get my father, Justice William O'Neill elected to the Ohio Supreme Court in 2012 as the only Democrat on the court for his term. We did not accept any money from anyone, proving that the public in Ohio is more powerful than corporate and special interest groups, and political advertisement that distorted the truth.
From 2017-2019, I was an elected member of the Conservation Commission in Bethel, Vermont while in Law School to preserve the last flood plain in the town which protects everyone from destructive floods. We educated and engaged the community and collaborated with organizations to defeat two special permit proposals, one from the Dollar General Store. The community had a goal of attracting businesses to the historic town and through this victory we were able to accomplish that goal.
In 2020, I won a Supreme Court of Ohio case six months after I graduated from Vermont Law School with my attorney Louis Grube and Paul Flowers. This case was able to set precedent that members of the Board of Elections cannot discriminate against candidates and remove them from the ballot in violation of the law, "The board abused its discretion and clearly disregarded applicable law".
From 2021-2023, I worked with five farming organizations and businesses to help them accomplish their goals and learn more about the practical skills and wisdom in the Environmental Food Movement.
In 2023, As Policy Chair of Save Ohio Parks we were able to establish the most stringent environmental laws and policies in the lease that the Gas and Oil Land Management Commission created to lease our Public Parks and Public Lands.
In 2024, after 14 years of working with environmentalist in Ohio: protesting, writing, petitioning, creating written and oral testimony, uniting elected officials, scientists, professors, farmers, business owners and community members in every stakeholder position in Southeast Ohio, three injection wells that were leaking, as predicted, were finally shutdown.
